Churchill's second book - "The first object of this book is to relate in exact military detail the operations directed by Lord Kitchener of Khartoum on the Upper Nile from April 1896 to February 1899, which I have called 'The River War.' It of course includes his account of the charge of the 21st Lancers, to whom he was attached, at Omdurman. A near fine set with very light spotting throughout, spines a little rubbed and darkened, minor bumping to spine ends and corners, light rubbing to extremities, preserved in slip-case.
